The 2025 Honda CRF450R has arrived and undergone significant changes across the entire model.
These modifications have been so inspiring that Hunter Lawrence decided to race with this new machine during the last three rounds of the AMA Pro Motocross.

The brand new CRF450R features a completely redesigned chassis, a new airbox configuration, and ECU. The engineering and development teams, in collaboration with the Honda HRC team, have worked tirelessly to extract every bit of performance from this new 450. Thanks to the new complete RS-12 Signature Series system, it achieves a maximum power increase of 3.7% compared to the stock model, while the maximum torque increase is 1.3%.

Here are some features of the 2025 CRF450R/RX RS-12:

Hydroformed Silencer
This is the first generation of RS-12 exhaust systems featuring hydroforming technology, which reduces weight. This technology optimises the available space for a custom fit while reducing the use of materials. Hydroforming eliminates many limitations of conventional metal forming methods, resulting in a lighter and more durable silencer. This new sleeve also includes a deep-drawn monobloc resonator, enhancing durability.

Hydroformed Primary Header
Performance improvements through an accurate fit of the oval exhaust port, with a smooth internal transition from oval to round. Durability is increased by reducing welds, and fitting is optimised due to the exact repeatability of the hydroforming process.

Machined Joint with Carbon Coating
Our new machined joint with carbon coating no longer requires anti-seize grease. This is made possible by impregnating the surface of the stainless steel joint with carbon atoms. The result is reduced wear over time due to decreased friction.

Collector Resonator
Developed in collaboration with the Honda HRC team, our collector resonator is not just aesthetic; it allows us to maximise power across the entire spectrum while improving rider connection.

Moulded Collector
Benefits: increased strength, better durability, as well as easier installation and removal.

The new RS-12 for the Honda CRF450R/RX 2025 also comes with an already installed INS-32-K acoustic insert. This insert not only produces a pleasant exhaust sound but also ensures the best power for the new Honda.

The CRF450R RS-12 is designed with the help of the Honda HRC race team, both in the United States and Europe.
