- Like all Arai, the Profile-V utilizes a solid outer shell designed to repel impact forces, while maintaining integrity, working with a softer one-piece multi-density EPS inner liner to absorb and distribute impact energy.
- . It's designed around the Variable Axis System (VAS) for a smoother shape and a Hyper Ridge reinforcement that lowers the center of gravity and flares 5mm for easy on/off.

- Outer shell construction: PB e-cLc: - Perimeter-belt e-Complex laminate construction (PB e-cLc). The outer shell of the Profile-V utilizes an e-Complex Perimeter Belt Laminate (PB e-cLc) construction for lightweight strength; it is designed to eject and distribute impact forces. New materials were used to replace AR-mat as the middle layer, resulting in a substantial weight reduction while maintaining the same strength as the PB-cLc construction. Variable Axis System (VAS): - With the VAS, the mounting position of the visor is lowered, resulting in an average of 24mm more on both temple areas, in search of the ideal smoother shape that increases energy rejection capability. As a result, this allowed more of the shell to be smoother along and above the Snell standard test line. Front Ventilation: Dual Intake: - Designed to increase airflow and reduce noise levels, guiding cool, fresh air inward. Front Ventilation: Standard Front Ventilation: - Fresh air can enter directly into the front area without the need for holes in this critical area of the shell and shock absorbing liner. For some models, ventilation is extended to the temple area. Front Ventilation: Three-position chin vent: - The three-position chin vent helps defog the visor and provide fresh, cool air to the rider. Inside, a small foam dam helps absorb and reduce excessive noise without reducing ventilation performance. Interior: Replaceable cheek pads/earpieces: - Depending on the model, the cheek pads, earpieces or the entire interior can be easily removed. All parts (replaceable or not) can be cleaned with warm water and mild soap. Rinse well after cleaning and never dry in direct sunlight or near a heat source. Different thicknesses of inserts are available for a personalized fit for each rider. Interior: Semi-removable liner: - The top padding stays in place but the liner is attached with Velcro and is easily removed for cleaning. Comfort: Chin Cup: - Attached to the bottom of the helmet, the new chin cup helps further accentuate the egg shape. The curtain simultaneously blocks air intrusion from turbulent air below and increases negative pressure to improve the FFS's exhaust function by drawing more air from the mouth. The improved airflow further reduces noise. Comfort: 5mm wider base: - The exclusive shell flares 5mm around the base, making it easier to put on and take off the helmet (for newcomers to Arai, the initial "comfort" of putting on or taking off the helmet can be difficult).
