Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) is a function that alerts the vehicle behind by rapidly flashing the hazard warning lights if the driver brakes suddenly at high speed (50 km/h or more).
The hazard light flashes approximately 85 times per minute, while the ESS flashes approximately 220 times per minute.
